Description
In 1973, René Lamy and Thérèse Pillot, both born into established winemaking families, married and established their estate in the Hameau de Morgeot on the edge of Chassagne-Montrachet. The Pillot family traces its origins back to the commune of Chassagne-Montrachet in 1595. The Lamy-Pillot winery is a family estate that cultivates 20 hectares of vineyards spread across 27 different appellations, primarily located in Chassagne-Montrachet and Saint-Aubin. Today, the estate is run by their daughters, Florence and Karine, and their wives. Florence and her husband, Sebastien Caillat, are currently responsible for winemaking. Florence trained in Beaune, while Sebastien Caillat was educated in Strasbourg and Dijon. In addition to their training, they both completed numerous internships, both domestically and internationally, before taking over the cellar in 1998.
The vineyard, planted in 1989, is situated on a limestone plateau, which gives it its characteristic minerality and also facilitates ideal water management in both wet and dry periods. The Domaine Lamy-Pillot Chassagne Montrachet Chardonnay is a highly elegant, minerally white wine, naturally made from 100% Chardonnay. This complex wine brings everything together: beautifully ripe fruit, white flowers, almond notes, fine acidity, and a long finish. Lamy-Pillot's winemaking style is characterized by a measured and supportive oak use in all their wines. The mineral notes of the beautiful terroir are not overshadowed by excessive oak, and the fruit is beautifully expressed in all the cuvées.
This is a 1.5 litre magnum – even tastier, more festive and with a longer drinking window.

In 1973, René Lamy and Thérèse Pillot, both born into real wine-growing families, married and started their domain in the Hameau de Morgeot on the outskirts of Chassagne-Montrachet. The PILLOT family traces its origins back to the commune of Chassagne-Montrachet in 1595. The Lamy-Pillot wine estate is a family estate that works on 17 hectares of vineyards, spread over 27 different appellations, mainly located in Chassagne-Montrachet and Saint-Aubin.
Today the domain is owned by daughters Florence and Karine and their husbands. Florence and her husband Sebastien Caillat are now responsible for the vinification. Florence was educated in Beaune, while Sebastien Caillat was educated in Strasbourg and Dijon. In addition to the training, they both completed many internships, at home and abroad, before taking over the cellar in 1998. Karine and her husband Daniel are responsible for sales and administration.
This real family domain has more than 20 hectares of vineyards and with this they make a wide range of both white and red wines. Lamy-Pillot wines are characterized by being very rich wines with a luscious texture. In the nose floral tones, ripe fruit and a refined touch of wood. The same aromas are reflected in the taste. The fine acidity gives the whole extra complexity. The wines of Domaine Lamy-Pillot now also belong to the very scarce Bourgognes with high ratings from the international wine press year-in-year-out.
