This is a single vineyard Barbera d'Asti, 'La Vigna Vecchia' with older vines, this offers the ideal conditions for the barbera grape. A good exposure, lots of sun and on a calcareous soil, these are the ingredients that give this barbera just that little bit extra. Recognizable 'barbera' nose with a subtle spiciness. An intense deep dark red color, cherry and berry fruit, some toasted wood and earthiness. Robust intense full wine. Lots of red fruit, fine acids, some minerality and wood influences, fine bitter chocolate tones in the aftertaste. Smooth intense wine, serious stuff!
Red colour with purple impressions, an intense persistent aroma of red and black cherries with a fine spiciness. The rich full taste remains elegant with the freshness characteristic of Barbera.
