The 2022 vintage in Bordeaux is considered one of the great years of the past decade. A warm and dry growing season produced optimal ripeness and concentration, while the best terroirs retained their freshness. In Margaux, this resulted in wines with depth, structure, and remarkable purity.

Vineyards and grape varieties

The Rauzan-Ségla vineyards are situated on deep gravel and clay soils, ideal for Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2022 vintage is composed of 72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 26% Merlot, and 2% Petit Verdot, sourced from organically farmed plots. The high Cabernet fraction gives the wine its classic backbone, while Merlot provides roundness and texture.

Vinification and maturation

The grapes are fermented plot by plot to ensure maximum precision. Maturation takes place in French oak barriques, where the wood is carefully integrated to support structure and complexity without overpowering the fruit. The result is a wine with clear definition and length.

Deep ruby red in color. The nose offers intense aromas of blueberries and blackberries, with subtle notes of walnut and a light, tarry nuance.
