Description
This Lugana Riserva is the fruit of the Zenato family's sincere passion and a reflection of their history in the appellation. The grapes for this wine come from the oldest vines on their Podere Massoni farm. They are harvested a little late, around mid-October. Fermentation takes place in oak barrels (70%) and stainless steel (30%). This wine is light brilliant gold in color and delivers intense, multifaceted aromas on the nose, with floral and citrus notes, spices, white plums and vanilla. On the palate it is rich in flavor, with great depth and balance. An ideal white for aging. Delicious with salads and fish dishes. Complements any elegant dish!

The Zenato 2019 Lugana Riserva Sergio Zenato is a soft, medium-bodied white wine with plenty of Golden Delicious apples and orchard fruit. The wine is textured and soft with enough acidity to make it all feel light and accessible, especially if fried shrimp or calamari are on the menu tonight. Production is 18,000 bottles.
In 2020, Zenato celebrated its 60th birthday from its Peschiera del Garda headquarters. This winery's long history started off with its production of the locally grown Trebbiano di Lugana grape and expanded years later to include red wines made with the appassimento process.

The 2021 Lugana Riserva Sergio Zenato entices with a whiff of confectionary spice, giving way to lemon custard and hints of lemon sorbet. It’s soothingly round with ripe orchard fruits and saline minerality to balance. Cooling acidity adds lift. A tinge of sour lime and a salty flourish linger as the 2021 tapers off long, grippy and youthfully tense.
