2021 Made in Provence (MIP) Blanc Collection
The wine estate Guillaume & Virginie Philip is run by Guillaume and his wife Virginie Philip. In 2007 they made their first wine, the now coveted MIP rosé. The vineyards are located at the foot of the Sainte Victoire mountain in the Provencal municipality of Puyloubier. The vineyards are located in a subtropical climate with warm summers and fairly mild winters. The terroir has calcareous sand and red clay soil full of stones.
The Domaine des Diables MiP Collection Côtes de Provence Blanc is the top model from the white MIP family and is also in that fantastically beautiful bottle. This white MIP Collection is a 100% Vermentino (called Rolle in France). After four days of skin soaking of the grapes from old vines, pressing and three weeks of maceration at a low temperature follow. The fermented juice then matures with the yeast sediment (sur lie) in stainless steel tanks.
The Domaine des Diables MiP Collection Côtes de Provence Blanc has a light straw yellow color in the glass with grapefruit, lemon, pear and green apple in the aroma and taste. In addition, something of fine herbs, a nice full structure and a seductive finale. Delicious as an aperitif, with light dishes, salads, grill and Provencal cuisine in general.
