2021 Van Hamersveld Lodewijk

Van Hamersveld Wines was created because Cees van Hamersveld, as the owner of several high-quality restaurants and hotels, including the famous boutique hotel De Zwarte Boer, went in search of 'the ultimate glass of wine'. For this, they fly across the world to assemble these wines themselves. Always with farmers who work with respect for people and nature. The eye fell on the vineyards Imbuko Winery in Wellington, South Africa and Domaine de Marotte in Ventoux, France. A delicious and honest range of wines with an almost unprecedented good price/quality ratio.

The Van Hamersveld Lodewijk is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and a little Shiraz for spiciness. The Lodewijk is a full and robust wine with mouth-filling aromas of black cherries, black currants, dark chocolate, licorice and spices. Wonderful with game, red meat, classic stews, aged cheeses and dishes with a full flavour. The wine has been awarded a silver medal at the Chinese Wine & Spirit Awards. Certified by the South African Wine and Spirit board (www.swsa.co.za) with the predicate "Integrity & Sustainabiliy"
