Description
In 1984, Rita Tua and her husband Virgilio bought an estate in Suvereto that included two hectares of vineyard. Initially, they did not have the idea of building a top estate from scratch, but their meticulous care for this small vineyard quickly led to cult status in Tuscany. Because their work was so successful, they continuously bought more vineyards and in 2014 the estate had been expanded to 30 hectares. When Vergilio died in 2010, daughter Simena and her husband Stefano Frascolla took over the daily management of the estate. In the meantime, the estate had gained worldwide fame.
The Tua Rita 2019 Giusto di Notri consists of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Cabernet Franc and 8% Merlot. The Giusto di Notri offers a lot of dark primary fruit with an important structure and texture in this classic vintage. Blackberries and black plums give way to herbs, tar and campfire ash. Delicious wine from a perfect vintage. This is a magnum of 1.5 liter

In 1984, Rita and Virgilio realized their lifelong dream by purchasing the property that became Tua Rita. The landscape and buildings on this property were just a setting to live in contact with nature while cultivating their beloved land. Their overwhelming passion for wine actually changed their plans. The original two hectares of vineyards have been carefully cultivated since the beginning, this rigorous and passionate care has brought Tua Rita together among the most successful producers. In less than ten years they had expanded the estate to nine acres, then twenty; Today, the totality of planted vines covers thirty hectares. Its growth has been driven by the enduring enthusiasm of Rita and Virgilio and an ever-deepening awareness of the potential of this estate in the area between the Tyrrhenian Sea and the Colline Metallifere, known as Val di Cornia.
On the one hand, the estate and cellar grew steadily, driven by the extreme dedication of Rita and Virgilio. On the other hand, thanks to Stefano Frascolla, married to the owner's daughter Simena, the winery's reputation expanded rapidly. Simena also became involved in the family business after Virgilio's death in 2010. The name of the estate is derived from the reversal of Rita Tua's first and last name.
The domain's entry-level wine is 'Rosso dei Notri', a particularly tasty IGP based on sangiovese, cabernet sauvigon, merlot and syrah. 'Perlato del Bosco', on the other hand, is a pure sangiovese under the IGP flag. The domain's signature wine is 'Giusto di Notri', simply a stunning Bordeaux blend of cabernet sauvagon, merlot and cabernet franc. Finally, a pure syrah and merlot (‘Redigaffi’) follow to complete the list. These last two wines are among the very best wines in all of Italy, even the whole world. Unfortunately not cheap, but of an unprecedented complexity, intensity and above all an excellent balanced structure with endless aftertaste
