2020 Tiefenbrunner Feldmarschall von Fenner Müller
Cold, oxygen-free soaking with soft pressing. Fermentation in stainless steel with controlled temperature, maturation sur lie until bottling after six months. Aromatic fruity with notes of apple skin, white pear and honey notes. Very present in the mouth, fresh, slightly aromatic and long lasting. The Tiefenbrunner Feldmarschall, Has nice clear acidity, freshness, is reminiscent of a top Riesling due to its length and concentration; great wine.
A few years ago, Tiefenbrunner planted a vineyard in a special place, at an altitude of no less than a thousand meters. It is the highest vineyard in Europe after two vineyards in Switzerland. This height produces a wine that is particularly rich and aromatic. The wine is extra special because the Müller-Thurgau grape was chosen, a variety that is not known for its characterful wines. Apparently, this grape achieves a top performance due to its high altitude. Something special.
