Description
Domaine de la Galopière is a is located in the Côte de Beaune, located in Bligny les Beaune, which belongs to Vincent and Gabriel Fournier. They work 11.5 hectares of vineyards in multiple parts of the Côte de Beaune, just south of Chassagne-Montrachet through multiple appellations up to the Corton Grand Cru slope (Meursault, Pommard, Savigny lès Beaune, Ladoix, Aloxe-Corton). Gabriel Fournier took over the family-run Domaine de la Galopière. Gabriel's son Vincent joined him in 2016, marking the family's fifth generation in the business.
The 100% Chardonnay grapes come from the northern part of the appellation. De a Galopière Meursault has a tightly wrapped bouquet with orange blossom and citrus scents, with a hint of grilled walnut in the background. The taste is well balanced, rounded on the palate with a hint of spice, and buttery aromas from the oak and lots of hazelnut in the finish. Domaine De La Galopiere Meursault is a white wine that goes perfectly with your fish-based dish, scallops and even creamy cheeses. We recommend that you serve it at a temperature between 11° and 12°.
