Bodegas Ignios is without a doubt the top bodega on Tenerife. Very interesting wines are made on this Canary Island. Higher vineyards and the Atlantic Ocean provide healthy, fresh wines. The aim of the young winery Ignios is to emphasize the value of the Canarian indigenous varieties and the Marmajuelo is such a grape and it also benefits even more from the height (due coolness) of this aromatic wine.

The single vineyard with Marmajuelo grapes is fermented in three 500-liter oak barrels. This oak fermentation provides some extra complexity, because the grape can be very aromatic by nature. The wine matures in the barrels with the lees for 12 months, after which (only) 2300 bottles are bottled.

The nose is fragrant with aromatic herbs, white fruit, balsamic vinegar, almond blossom and honey. In the nose, the wine is ointment, perfumed, with a refreshing acidity. and a strong personality. The Ignios Marmajuelo is an excellent accompaniment to seafood, fish, rice and also great with spicy food such as Thais.
