De 2020 Chassagne-Montrachet Les Vide-Bourses 1er Cru is geconcentreerd en gespannen in de neus, met aroma's van clementine, kweepeer en bloedsinaasappel. Een element van gemalen steen komt met tegenzin naar voren bij beluchting. Inderdaad, na 20 minuten keren de aroma's prachtig samen. Het gehemelte is goed in balans met een harmonieuze aanzet. Er zijn perzik- en mangotoetsen, maar je zou dit niet kunnen beschrijven als een tropische Chassagne zoals Girardins Les Blanchots Dessus.

The 2020 Chassagne-Montrachet Les Vide-Bourses 1er Cru is focused and tensile on the nose, with clementine, quince and blood orange aromas. A crushed stone element reluctantly emerges with aeration. Indeed, returning after 20 minutes, the aromatics have cohered beautifully. The palate is well-balanced with a harmonious entry. There are peach and mango touches, but you could not describe this as a tropical Chassagne like Girardin's Les Blanchots Dessus. Perhaps not a long-term Chassagne, but it has easygoing charm. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.
