Hungary is a wine country with a wine-growing history that certainly dates back to Roman times. In Hungary, an average of 3.5 million hectoliters of wine is produced per year, which puts it in seventh place among wine producing countries in Europe. In Hungary you will find a total of about 70,000 hectares of wine-growing land and international grape varieties are cultivated here, but you will also find many types of wine from native Hungarian pigeon breeds here. Hungary has a total of 22 wine regions and about 48 different grape varieties are grown in this country. In short, many different types of red, white and sparkling wines are produced. So it is definitely worth trying a nice wine from this country.
