Montaribaldi makes Vineyard wines as they say it and means that the wine must be 'made' in the vineyard and not with all kinds of artificial means in the winery. A beautiful terroir, quality instead of quantity, old vineyards, low plant density, deliberately low yield are principles that Montaribaldi uses to get great grapes and then making beautiful wine is a breeze.

The Brut Millesimato Taliano Giuseppe is made with the typical champagne grapes namely the Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. This Spumante from Piedmont is only made when it is an excellent year and in a very limited edition. This wine, fresh and fruity, is perfect to enjoy during aperitifs and appetizers.
The vineyards are located in the municipality of Treiso at an altitude of 300 meters. The terroir is varied with sand, limestone and compact marl

The Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes are the first to be harvested in the Piedmont and this relatively early harvest ensures a nice acidity and freshness. The harvest takes place between the end of August and the beginning of September. After a soft crush the must is cooled and after the primary fermentation the second fermentation takes place (Martinotti-Charmatt method). After the primary and secondary fermentation, the sparkling wine rests on its lees for at least 3 months and this is certainly the reason that this is not a 12-in-a-dozen wine and gives a piece of complexity that is normally not included in a wine of the price class. The Spumante is light straw yellow in the glass. The wine has an elegant and persistent perlage with hints of green apple and wild flowers in the nose. There is a good balance between the Pinot Noir and the Chardonnay and in the mouth the wine is fresh, dry with a very pleasant bitterness in the back of the throat

The 'azienda agricola Montaribaldi' is historically a family business, located in the middle of the Langhe hills in the small village of Barbaresco. The Montaribaldi winery has been owned by the Taliano family from the beginning and has 19 hectares in the Barberesco area. In 1994 Luciano and Roberto took over the company from their father and immediately decided to only produce high quality wines. It is still a real family business, father Guiseppe and mother Carla as well as the wives of the owners, Antonella and Franca all cooperate. At present they produce about 75000 bottles a year. Thanks to the perfect location of the vineyards of Montaribaldi and the typical white soil of the hills in Langhe, the elegant wines that come from them have a long life. Note that the land around the Montaribaldi vineyards is from Gaja. The family makes some of the most famous wines from the Piedmont region: Barbaresco DOCG, Barolo DOCG, Barbera d'Alba DOC, Barbera d'Asti DOCG, Roero Arneis. They offer a complete range of wines, from grapes typical of this region. Typical of this winery is that the wines have their origin in Piedmont, are always recognizable as a 'Montaribaldi' wine and are sustainably grown and produced. As they call it themselves: making 'vineyard wines' distinguishes them from others.
