The Lionel Messi Collection is the result of a unique collaboration between the legendary footballer and the renowned Swiss winery Château Constellation in Valais. This modern wine estate, nestled deep in the Alps, combines centuries-old winemaking tradition with cutting-edge winemaking techniques. Château Constellation worked for many years with renowned oenologist Michel Rolland and is one of Switzerland's most innovative producers.

Messi was personally involved in selecting the styles and terroirs for his GOAT 10 collection . The idea arose when, during a winter stay in Valais, he was impressed by the heroic viticulture on steep mountain slopes. There, where every grape is harvested by hand and viticulture is a battle against nature, he recognized the same dedication that has defined him throughout his career.

Valais – wine growing at altitude

The canton of Valais, in the heart of the Swiss Alps, is one of Europe's most spectacular wine regions. The vineyards are situated on steep terraces that slope up to 45%, often more than 800 meters above sea level. Thanks to more than 300 days of sunshine a year, schistose soils, and cold nights, the grapes here develop exceptional aromatic precision. These extreme conditions give the wines their distinctive tension, purity, and minerality – perfect for top-notch sparkling Pinot Noir.

Vinification and maturation

Pinot Noir Spumante is made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes grown on old vines. The grapes are harvested entirely by hand and carefully selected. After a gentle pressing, controlled fermentation follows at 18°C to preserve the fruity character. The second fermentation takes place in the bottle according to the traditional method. The wine then rests for several months on the lees (on the yeasts) in the cellars of Château Constellation – carved deep into the rock and naturally cooled. This ensures refinement, softness, and an elegant mousse.

Color, smell and taste

The Lionel GOAT 10 Pinot Noir Spumante has a bright salmon-pink color with a fine, persistent mousse. The nose is vibrant and complex with aromas of raspberry, blood orange, and pink grapefruit, followed by subtle notes of hazelnut and brioche. On the palate, the wine is dry, taut, and refreshing, with a perfect balance of red fruit, citrus, and a soft creaminess. The finish is long, mineral, and precise – a paragon of Swiss elegance.
