Description
And now for something completely different! British Fizz, and a very sophisticated one too! The Sussex region may well be the new Champagne of the future. Big Champagne houses know that too. Cool sea breeze and limestone soil. Three classic grape varieties, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier in the blend provide this beautiful sparkling wine, which with the current global warming may become even better than the founders. For that reason, many large champagne houses have now also bought plots of land to plant vineyards here.
The Henners Brut has a beautiful light straw yellow color and a beautiful perlage. Sourdough aromas (3 years on its yeast) are combined with crisp green apple fruit for a wonderfully inviting nose. The taste is beautiful with a lively and persistent mousse. Fruit characters of green apple and pear mingle with toasted brioche. Balanced acidity and a long finish make this a very classy sparkling wine. And: vegetarian, vegan, organic. Wonderful aperitif and of course a classi combination with the local oysters or crayfish.
