Champagne Frerejean Frères Blanc de Blancs Brut Premier Cru
Champagne Frerejean Frères, founded by the Frerejean-Taittinger brothers, only produces Champagne from Premier and Grand Cru vineyards in Grauves, Côte des Blancs. They are very finesse-rich wines with a special complexity. These very elegant and fresh Champagnes are produced with little dosage (only 6.5 grams per liter). They obtain their roundness and complexity through maturation sur lies of at least five years. After 5 years of ripening on the lie still at least 1 year in own cellars.
The Blanc de Blanc comes from Premier and Grand Cru Cru vineyards in the Côte des Blancs and is a 100% Chardonnay which has matured for 5 years on its lands and a dégorgement after more than a year. This Blanc de Blanc Premier Cru is very elegant, sleek-dry and above all very mineral. In the nose fresh notes of citrus and exotic fruit such as passion fruit, mango and papaya. The bubbles are so refined that they are almost invisible after resting in the glass, but you can taste how beautifully integrated they are in the mouth. Here too the wine is mineral (lime and oyster shells), fresh and round. Well a Blanc de Blanc of this level almost cries out for a beautiful “Fruits de mer” with oysters, shrimps and lobster. Also delicious with fried fish, poultry and veal and grilled vegetables or do it surprisingly and also serve it with cheese or a dessert with citrus a surprisingly good choice.
You know: the wine is packaged in a beautiful (yellow) foil - so also very nice to give as a gift.
