Log inBodegas MORCA is part of the Juan Gil Family. Bodegas Morca is located in the village of Borja, in the province of Zaragoza, and belongs to the Campo de Borja appellation – the region famous for its robust red Garnacha. Garnacha grapes from small, low-yield plots are hand-picked and fermented separately in small vats before being transferred to French oak barrels, where the FLOR DE MORCA GARNACHA remains for 6 months to transform into a fruity, full-bodied, and highly attractive wine.
The Flor de Morca is the new name and was formerly known as Flor de Goda. In the glass, it is almost opaque with purple hues, as befits a full-bodied Garnacha. The wine displays richness and finesse with layers of blackberries, blueberries, and plums, mineral, mocha, and spice notes edged with dark chocolate, licorice, and crushed pepper. The Flor de Morca is the little brother of the Morca and is a delicious, fruity, full-bodied wine that is a perfect accompaniment to rice, pasta (noodles, spaghetti, macaroni), vegetables, mushrooms, stews, sausages, pork, roasted meats, grilled meats, and is also delicious with spicy (blue-veined) cheese. We recommend drinking this wine (and as is the case with many spirited wines) slightly chilled – Blissful!!! (14-16 degrees).

Bodegas Morca is found in Borja, the birthplace of Grenacha, iconic for its specific limestone soils that give the wines character. Situated on the Moncayo slopes you will find the 30-50 year old vines of Bodegas Morca. The cool winds from the north increase the wine's concentration whilst still preserving a freshness and lively acidity. Each parcel of grapes is hand harvested and vinified separately - allowing for the best blending opportunities.
