Weingut Schwarz was founded by Hans Schwarz, originally a true butcher. A vineyard that has been cared for by the family for generations. The Butcher line was set up to represent the Schwarz Weiss and Rot wines. The Butcher wines are all made for their drinkability. The Butcher series has now become a serious hype. The great unique selection and the price/quality makes this a highly sought-after wine.

The Weingut Schwarz Butcher Pinot noir is a 100% Pinot Noir from Burgenland, Austria. The wine has matured for 12 months in used oak barrels so the wine has serious complexity but the fruit dominates. The nose notes of red berries, strawberries, cherries and caramel. The Butcher Pinot has a nice acidity, so the wine never gets boring. The wine tastes youthful and fresh with the primary fruit back in the bod. A very pleasant glass to simply enjoy, but the Butcher Pinot Noir is also an excellent accompaniment to dishes with a nice acidity or to fried white meat with a fresh and spicy sauce.

Weingut Schwarz was founded by Hans Schwarz. A vineyard that has been cared for by the family for generations, and sold its harvest to the local wine cooperative. As an amateur winemaker, Hans produced his first 100% Zweigelt wine "Giovanni". From here he grew into a professional winemaker. In 2012, the foundations were laid for a complete renovation of the winery. The first phase of this has now been completed.

Weingut Schwarz is located in an area called "Seewinkel" in the Burgenland region of Austria, and is about 20 km wide, along the eastern shore of Lake Neusiedl. The villages of Illmitz, Apetlon and Podersdorf are located on this reed bed wetland, which is actually a nature reserve. It is an immense plain, with numerous shallow lakes of different sizes scattered throughout the area. The surrounding area is often covered in dense fog, which gives a special charm to the region. The climate has warm, dry summers and extremely cold winters - a unique microclimate.
