In 1973, René Lamy and Thérèse Pillot, both born into real wine-growing families, married and started their domain in the Hameau de Morgeot on the edge of Chassagne-Montrachet. The PILLOT family traces its origins back to the municipality of Chassagne-Montrachet in 1595. The Lamy-Pillot winery is a family estate that operates on 20 hectares of vineyards, spread over 27 different appellations, mainly located in Chassagne-Montrachet and Saint-Aubin. Today the domain is owned by daughters Florence and Karine and their husbands. Florence and her husband Sebastien Caillat are now responsible for the vinification. Florence was educated in Beaune, while Sebastien Caillat was educated in Strasbourg and Dijon. In addition to their training, they both completed many internships, at home and abroad, before taking over the cellar in 1998.

The 1er Cru les Vergers comes from a Premier Cru vineyard from the Chassagne Montrachet called: Les Vergers. The vineyard is 14 ares large (so 1,400 m2) with a southeastern location, from which around 900 bottles are made in the good years. The vineyard was planted in 1972 and is located on a limestone plateau, which gives the typical minerality, but also ideal water management in both wet and dry periods.

The Lamy-Pillot Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru les Vergers is a very elegant mineral white wine naturally made from 100% chardonnay. The style of wine making at Lamy-Pillot is characterized by a measured and supportive use of wood in all their wines. The mineral notes of the beautiful terroir are not overgrown by excessive use of wood and the fruit is beautifully presented in all cuvées. The Les Vergers has been aged for around 16 months in oak barrels, with a maximum of 25% new oak and with weekly battonage. The wine has been very well balanced since its youth, but with a few years of aging the wine will become even more beautiful. Very juicy & elegant.

The wine is stored in our conditioned Wine Warehouse. If you pick up the wine you will often receive a nice discount. You will see the discount immediately when you choose to collect on our checkout page. We are almost next to the Rijksweg with plenty of parking. You can find our address here.

In 1973, René Lamy and Thérèse Pillot, both born into real wine-growing families, married and started their domain in the Hameau de Morgeot on the outskirts of Chassagne-Montrachet. The PILLOT family traces its origins back to the commune of Chassagne-Montrachet in 1595. The Lamy-Pillot wine estate is a family estate that works on 17 hectares of vineyards, spread over 27 different appellations, mainly located in Chassagne-Montrachet and Saint-Aubin.

Today the domain is owned by daughters Florence and Karine and their husbands. Florence and her husband Sebastien Caillat are now responsible for the vinification. Florence was educated in Beaune, while Sebastien Caillat was educated in Strasbourg and Dijon. In addition to the training, they both completed many internships, at home and abroad, before taking over the cellar in 1998. Karine and her husband Daniel are responsible for sales and administration.

This real family domain has more than 20 hectares of vineyards and with this they make a wide range of both white and red wines. Lamy-Pillot wines are characterized by being very rich wines with a luscious texture. In the nose floral tones, ripe fruit and a refined touch of wood. The same aromas are reflected in the taste. The fine acidity gives the whole extra complexity. The wines of Domaine Lamy-Pillot now also belong to the very scarce Bourgognes with high ratings from the international wine press year-in-year-out.
