2022 was a warm and focused year in Pomerol, with perfect ripeness and healthy grapes. Thanks to careful selection and Lafleur's exceptional terroir, the richness of the vintage was combined with precision and tension. In the bottle, the wine developed even more harmony and balance than during the early tastings.

Vineyards and grape varieties

Lafleur's vineyards are situated in a unique plot with gravelly soils and underlying clay layers. The blend traditionally features a high proportion of Merlot, complemented by Cabernet Franc, which provides depth and volume, as well as aromatic tension and length.

Vinification and maturation

The plots are vinified separately, with utmost attention to precision and extraction. Maturation in oak ensures integration and refinement without overshadowing the character of the terroir. In 2022, the élevage added extra harmony and classicism to the natural richness of the vintage.

Deep ruby red in color. The nose opens intensely and exotically with mulberries, potpourri, iris, and subtle notes of blood orange and incense.
