Winery
Casa Rojo is one of the most dynamic wineries in Spain. Since its founding, the winery has made a name for itself with characterful wines from various Spanish wine regions, always placing the identity of the terroir at the center. Casa Rojo combines modern viticulture with respect for local grape varieties and a contemporary style. The wines stand out for their pure fruit expression, balance, and recognizable character. Haru Rosé demonstrates that a rosé can also be serious, refined, and gastronomic. You can find more information about this winery in the Winery tab.
Origin and terroir
The grapes for Haru Rosé come from carefully selected vineyards in southeastern Spain. The Mediterranean climate, with its many hours of sunshine, limited rainfall, and cooling nights, produces grapes that retain both aromatic ripeness and fresh acidity. The calcareous soils contribute to the elegant structure and mineral undertones of the wine. The combination of climate and soil results in a rosé that remains fresh and expressive without sacrificing concentration.
Grapes and vineyard management
Haru Rosé is made from carefully selected red grapes that are harvested early to preserve maximum freshness and aromatic intensity. In the vineyards, great attention is paid to a balanced yield and healthy grapes. Due to the relatively early harvest, the natural acidity is preserved, and the wine develops its characteristic refined fruit character with great tension and elegance.
Vinification and aging
After the harvest, the grapes are gently pressed, using only the best juice. Fermentation takes place under controlled temperatures in stainless steel tanks to optimally preserve the fresh aromas. Subsequently, the wine remains on the fine lees for some time to develop additional texture and complexity. This sur lie aging results in a slightly creamier structure without compromising the lively character of the rosé.
Color, smell and taste
The wine has a bright light pink color with salmon-colored nuances. On the nose, aromas of strawberry, raspberry, redcurrant, and pomegranate dominate, complemented by notes of white flowers and a subtle citrus freshness. On the palate, the wine is juicy, lively, and elegant. The fresh red fruit is supported by beautiful acidity and a light mineral tension. The finish is clean, dry, and refreshing, inviting you to take another sip.
Style and character
Casa Rojo Haru Rosé is a modern rosé with a distinctly gastronomic style. Instead of a sweet or simple profile, the emphasis lies on freshness, finesse, and balance. As a result, the wine is not only delicious as an aperitif but also perfectly suitable for lunch or dinner. The combination of fruit, tension, and subtle creaminess makes this rosé versatile and accessible.
Volume
The 2022 vintage yielded healthy grapes with a beautiful aromatic concentration and fresh acidity. As a result, the wine presents itself as lively and balanced, with plenty of pure fruit and a refined structure. The expected drinking window runs from 2023 to 2026. The alcohol percentage has not yet been officially published.
Food and wine pairings
This rosé pairs excellently with salads, grilled vegetables, sushi, shellfish, and light fish dishes. Tapas, charcuterie, Mediterranean dishes, and grilled chicken also complement the wine's fresh style beautifully. Furthermore, thanks to its dry character, Haru Rosé is an excellent choice as an aperitif on a sunny day.

"LOVE WHAT YOU DO. DO WHAT YOU LOVE" JOSÉ LUIS GÓMEZ -Making great wines takes time and a lot of dedication. Continuous improvement, continuous evolution and the search for perfection in the vineyard and then in the winery, is the only way. Only if you love your work can you show this dedication and passion. “THE MOST IMPORTANT VIRTUE OF A WINE IS BALANCE” LAURA MUÑOZ-ROJO. At Casa Rojo they make wines with which José Luis and Laura feel identified. They have the good fortune and luxury of being able to produce in the areas where they have their roots and admire with the two grapes they are passionate about: Tinta Fina (Tempranillo) in the continental climate of La Ribera del Duero and the Monastrell in our Mediterranean homeland, Tierra de Murcia. Recently, the unique white grapes from Ribero - Galicia have also been added, such as the Verdejo, Albariño and Sauvignon Blanc. Casa Rojo's vision is clear. "A wine should be a maximum expression of the soil, the grapes, the local climate."
Casa Rojo has been active since 2010, so it is a fairly young company, but now the wines of Casa Rojo are available in more than 40 countries, including USA, Singapore, Italy, France, the Netherlands, Mexico, Japan, Hong Kong, Australia, Sweden, Switzerland, etc and the demand exceeds the supply. Not surprising because the quality of the wines, the stories behind the wine and the livery are nothing short of unique.
