Description
Weingut Bauer is located in the picturesque Nußdorf, a small village just below Frankfurt. In recent years, the current generation has made the necessary investments in the winery. The cellars have been renovated and the press house has become more modern. This has paid off because the wines of Emil Bauer are acclaimed worldwide. The grapes for Emil Bauer Riesling Trocken grow in Pfalz, a wine region where the sun shines about as much as in the Mediterranean vineyards. As a result, the Riesling grapes develop extremely well, which is perfectly reflected in the smell and taste of Emil Bauer Riesling Trocken.
Winery Emil Bauer & Söhne is a family business led by the fifth generation: Alexander and Martin Bauer. In the picturesque Nußdorf in Rhineland-Palatinate, the best conditions for viticulture can be found. The drastic improvements in the barrel cellar and wine press have made the quality of the wines even better in recent years, which is why both winemakers were nominated 'Newcomer of the Year' at the Falstaff. A large number of grape varieties are grown here, which is typical for the Palatinate. In addition to classics such as Riesling, Grauburgunder, Weißburgunder and Silvaner, there are also international varieties such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc.
The Emil Bauer Riesling Trocken is green-yellow in the glass. Aromatic nose with notes of peach, green apple and white flowers. Fruity riesling with distinctive freshness and a hint of honey. This Riesling matures on its lees (sur lie) for 3-4 months. In the glass, the Emil Bauer has Riesling This is a classic riesling with a fruity, dry taste with fresh acidity. Highly recommended as an aperitif and delicious with Asian food, cheese fondue and fish
Hubrecht Duijker
"The simply labeled Riesling is not wrong, given its spicy-fresh elegant, fruity (lime, grapefruit, pear segment) flawless taste that went wonderfully well with sushi in the Duijker house."

Winery Emil Bauer & Söhne is a family business run by the fifth generation: Alexander and Martin Bauer. In picturesque Nußdorf in Rhineland-Palatinate, the best conditions for viticulture can be found. The drastic improvements in the barrel cellar and the wine press have made the quality of the wines even better in recent years, which is why both winemakers were nominated as 'Newcomer of the Year 2014' at the Falstaff. A large number of grape varieties are grown here, which is typical of the Palatinate. In addition to classics such as Riesling, Grauburgunder, Weißburgunder and Silvaner, there are also international varieties such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc. But all this is nothing compared to what the brothers have developed in the field of label design. The revolutionary 'Just Riesling' label is already a legend and the other provocative labels are just as successful; Each label tells a part of the life of the two brothers, about how they are and how they think.
