Puligny Montrachet and Chassagne Montrachet are located at the center of the four villages that make up the part of the Côte de Beaune region known as the Côte des Blancs (Meursault, Blagny, Chassagne, and Puligny). This area earned this name for the quality and prestige of its white wines. Bâtard-Montrachet lies at the confluence of the villages of Puligny Montrachet and Chassagne Montrachet, directly bordering Montrachet. It is exposed to the east and lies on a terroir composed of chalky soil. It is also the largest of the five Grands Crus.

The 2021 Alvina Pernot Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru is an exceptional white Burgundy from one of the most prestigious Grand Cru vineyards in the Côte de Beaune. This wine reflects the dedication of Alvina Pernot, granddaughter of Paul Pernot, who combines a modern vision with the classic traditions of the family business. The Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet vineyard is renowned and located in Puligny-Montrachet, bordering the famous Bâtard-Montrachet vineyard. It boasts chalky soil with a perfect balance of minerals, contributing to the wine's refinement and minerality. Its eastern-facing position ensures optimal sun exposure and grape ripeness. The vineyard boasts very low yields, resulting in concentrated and expressive wines. The wine is made using traditional methods with a focus on precision and finesse. It's aged in French oak barrels (some new), which adds complexity and structure without overshadowing the terroir. This is a 1.5-liter magnum—even more delicious, festive, and with a longer drinking window.

Color: Pale gold with shimmering green accents.
Nose: Refined aromas of white flowers, citrus, pear and ripe apple, complemented by subtle notes of vanilla, roasted nuts and a delicate minerality.
Palate: Elegant yet powerful, with a silky texture and vibrant acidity. The flavors of citrus, white stone fruit, and light buttery notes are supported by a pronounced minerality typical of this Grand Cru.
Finish: Long, complex and harmonious, with a perfect balance between freshness and richness.

The 2021 Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru goes well with:
- Exclusive fish dishes such as turbot with beurre blanc.
- Lobster and other rich crustaceans.
- Risotto with truffle or mushrooms.
- Mature cheeses such as Comté or a soft brie.
