The Château Vray Croix de Gay 2020 is an excellent wine from the Pomerol appellation. This small estate, with an area of 3.67 hectares, is located near prestigious neighbours such as Petrus, Trotanoy and La Fleur-Pétrus. The wine is mainly produced from Merlot, supplemented with a small percentage of Cabernet Franc.

The 2020 Château Vray Croix de Gay is a blend of 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Franc, the 2020 Vray Croix de Gay has 14.1% alcohol. Deep garnet purple in color in the glass with aromas of ripe berries, black cherries and subtle spicy notes on the nose, elegantly wrapped by nuances of cedar and vanilla. The medium-bodied palate is elegant and refreshing with soft, accessible tannins and a perfumed finish. A very nice, polished Pomerol!

About Château Vray Croix de Gay

Château Vray Croix de Gay has a rich history dating back to the 18th century. In 2020, the estate was acquired by the insurance group Suravenir-Arkéa, which also owns Château Calon Ségur. The winery benefits from the expertise of Jean-Claude Berrouet, former winemaker of Petrus, who acts as a consultant.
