2019 Louis Latour Montrachet Grand Cru

Because many 1er Cru wines have ended up in Bourgogne Blanc or Village wine due to scarcity, it is precisely the 1er Crus and GrandCru's that are very scarce.

In the 50s and 60s, Corton Charlemagne was one of the greatest white wines from Burgundy. In recent years, they have made a comeback and Corton Charlemagne is more sought after than ever now that DRC, Bizot, Millemann and Ramonet have bought a piece. With a total size of just under 8 Ha, it is logical that you rarely come across these wines. 18 owners share this white gold. Many do not know that this Grandcru vineyard is located in both Chassagne Montrachet and Puligny Montrachet. The border is somewhere in the middle (right of Romanee Conti and left of Bouchard). Officially, they call the wines from Chassagne “Le Montrachet” and from Puligny “Montrachet”, but only a few put “Le” on the label.

The Louis Latour Montrachet Grand Cru has a clear and light yellow colour. The nose is very intense, with aromas of almond, vanilla and honeysuckle. Sufficient, fresh and dense in the mouth, with notes of marzipan, again vanilla and juice. Insanely beautiful aftertaste.
