Description
Château Bélair-Monange is a prestigious wine estate located in the Saint-Émilion region of Bordeaux, France. With a history dating back to the 17th century, the château is a Premier Grand Cru Classé wine, making it the highest classification in Saint-Émilion. In 2008, the estate was acquired by the Moueix family, who also manage the iconic Château Pétrus. Under the leadership of Christian Moueix and his team, Château Bélair-Monange has seen a significant increase in quality, with investments in the vineyards and cellar resulting in outstanding wines. The Moueix family is confidently taking Château Bélair-Monange to the top of Saint-Émilion. Their previous triumphs with renowned estates such as Lafleur-Petrus and Hosanna in Pomerol are a guarantee of their success.
The château’s vineyards cover approximately 23 hectares and are planted with Merlot and Cabernet Franc. The terroirs consist of limestone and clay, which contribute to the depth and refinement of their wines. Under the Moueix family, the estate has seen significant improvements, and the wines of Château Bélair-Monange are known for their elegance, finesse and longevity.
