The Casa Rojo Tintofina is a 100% Tempranillo or a Tinto Fino coming from old vineyards located in Villálvaro, Sotillo de la Ribera, Moradillo, Hontoria, Peñafiel, Quintana del Pidio, Anguix and Curiel de Duero. The average altitude of the vineyards is 850 to 900 meters, all in Burgos and Valladolid and the vines are all old to very old (from 35 to 100 years old). The wines mature/age for around 1.5 years in French oak and then get a few months of bottle aging before it comes to the global market. This is a magnum of 1.5 liters. Even better!

Launched in 2022, the Tinta Fina is the antithesis of the flagship MachoMan. Opposites always attract and that is the slogan of Casa Rojos: Unite the Mediterranean with the Atlantic .

The Casa Rojo Tintofino is a powerful Ribera del Duero and has a beautiful ruby red color in the glass, with garnet hues at the edge of the glass. In the nose it is very expressive, with intense aromas of wild blackberries and blackcurrants, with hints of aromatic herbs such as thyme and sage, wrapped in elegant aromas of cedar, leather, cloves and toast, coming from the aging in French oak barrels. In the mouth it is fleshy, powerful, with a good structure and elegant tannins, with a long, balanced and harmonious finish.

ABOUT CASA ROJO

THE MOST IMPORTANT VIRTUE OF A WINE IS BALANCE” LAURA MUÑOZ-ROJO - At Casa Rojo they make wines that José Luis and Laura identify with. They are fortunate and have the luxury of being able to produce in the areas where they have their roots and admire the two grapes they are passionate about: Tinta Fina (Tempranillo) in the continental climate of La Ribera del Duero and Monastrell in our Mediterranean homeland, Tierra de Murcia. Recently, the unique white grapes from Ribero - Galicia have also been added, such as Verdejo, Albariño and Sauvignon Blanc. Casa Rojo's vision is clear. "A wine must be a maximum expression of the soil, the grapes, the local climate."

Casa Rojo has been active since 2010, so it is a relatively young company, but Casa Rojo wines are now available in over 40 countries, including the USA, Singapore, Italy, France, the Netherlands, Mexico, Japan, Hong Kong, Australia, Sweden, Switzerland, etc. and demand exceeds supply. Not surprising, because the quality of the wines, the stories behind the wine and the presentation are truly unique.
