Omschrijving
Een van Spaanse beste wijnen. Een moderne toegankelijke Rioja met 16 maanden houtrijping. De Roda reserva is Roda Reserva is een assemblage van Tempranillo, Graciano en Grenache. Dit is een Rioja op een hoog niveau. Robijnrood met lichte evolutie. Zeer complex in de geur, maar een geur die veel beloofd. Een neus van rood fruit, koffie, geroosterde noten. In de smaak die krachtig is met fraaie tinten van vanille, kruiden, peper, zwart fruit waarvan veel bramen. Ragfijn zuurtje. Toegankelijk en toch nog jong van structuur. De afdronk is helemaal top, echt een geweldig glas!

The nose of the 2020 Roda shows the textbook profile they look for—red fruit. It's clean, fresh and expressive, elegant and balanced with power and clout, good ripeness (14.5% alcohol) but without excess and with balancing freshness. It follows the house style of modern, clean and balanced wines with integrated oak. Serious Rioja. It was produced with a blend of 89% Tempranillo, 6% Garnacha and 5% Graciano matured in French oak barrels for 14 months. 131,168 bottles produced. It was bottled in August 2022.
The super reliable Roda continues with their focus on R&D (they allocate 7% of their income to it!) and are producing their stable range with the addition of a white from 2019, now in its second year. They work 120 hectares of vineyard, 70 of them owned, mostly in Haro and around it, producing 400,000 bottles per year.

Fruity and primary with rich black cherries, red plums and damsons, adorned by some coffee, black pepper and chocolate. A pretty modern, juicy expression of Rioja with a medium to full body, rounded by assertive and fine-grained tannins. Long, with some dark chocolate in the finish. Drink from 2023.
