Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande is a beautiful castle with 78 hectares of vineyard with 2ème Grand Cru Classé status. The soil is poor, with a lot of gravel on a clay subsoil. Built in 1840, this classic-looking Château was acquired by Madame May-Eliane de Lencquesaing in 1978 and the cru passed into the hands of the Rouzaud family in 2007.

They also own the Roederer champagne house. The wines of Pichon Comtesse are always opulent and in recent years have more and more cabernet sauvignon in the blend, which gives them extra storage power.

It is one of the best-known vineyards in Pauillac, a sub-region within Bordeaux known for its rich, full-bodied wines. The wine is made from a blend of the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. The grapes are harvested manually and then aged in French oak barrels. The wine has a deep, dark red color and a complex aroma with notes of cassis, blueberries, chocolate and spices. In the taste, the wine is full and rich, with a good balance between tannins, acids and fruit. Château Pichon-Longueville - Comtesse de Lalande Pauillac is often regarded as one of the best wines from Pauillac and is often praised for its aging potential.
