Description
Oloroso is a sherry that ripens without flor. To prevent flor formation, the wine is immediately fortified to
17% alc. This gives the Oloroso its structure and dark mahogany-like color. The grapes all come from one vineyard in Pago de Añina y Macharnudo of lbariza soil (lime); so a single vineyard and located DOC Jerez-Xérès-Sherry. The Juan Piñero Amontillado is 100% made from the Palomino Fino grape with 12 years of aging.
This Juan Piñero Oloroso Great Duke 12 Years is a powerful sherry. In the nose this Oloroso Great Duke is nutty, spicy with notes of candied orange, balsamic, tobacco, truffle, leather. In the mouth the sherry is dry, powerful with toasted notes. Structured with a very long powerful finish. Delicious with aged cheeses, mushrooms, beef and game stews and perfect with real Belotta Jamom . Store in a cool, dark place after opening, 4 to 6 weeks after opening.
