Description
The Bader-Mimeur is a 100% aligoté. The wine is light gold in colour with sparkling reflections. Typical nose of lime, wild flowers and a touch of vetetal. A full generous aligoté that provides a refreshing aftertaste with its crispy fruit.
Bader – Mimeur is located at the foot of the famous vineyards of Montrachet. Since the seventeenth century, the BADER-MIMEUR family has owned and managed vines in and around Chassagne-Montrachet, mainly in the Côte de BEAUNE, for more than ten generations. Charles BADER, Marie Pierette NIE and the son of PHILIPPE BADER, were wine merchants in “Halle-aux-Vins” in Paris. He married Elise MIMEUR in 1920, whose father, Charles MIMEUR, owned the "Domaine du Château de Chassagne-Montrachet". The name BADER-MIMEUR was born. The estate has been managed by brother and sister since 2017; Sébastien Fossier and Nathalie Bernard. From the 17th century, the Bader-Nié family owned vineyards in Chassagne-Montrachet and the surrounding area, while Charles Mimeur, a winegrower from the Maranges region, became the owner of the Château de Chassagne-Montrachet in 1919. Since 2017, Nathalie Bernard and her brother Sébastien Fossier have been in charge of the day-to-day management of Baeder-Mimeur.
Guide Gilbert & Gaillard 2021: "Pale gold color, sparkling reflections. Typically engaging nose, with accents of limes, field flowers, vegetal touch. A frank, full-bodied, generous aligoté, offering a nice tangy sensation. The fruit is crunchy, present, the finish very invigorating."
FACT: The Aligoté grape is a cross between Pinot and Gouais. For most people, white Burgundy is made from Chardonnay. However, for some time now, a relatively unknown, but typically Burgundian grape has been quietly gaining popularity: Aligoté! This image began to change when a celebrity in the wine world managed to draw attention to Aligoté. Aubert de Villaine of Domaine Romanée-Conti, together with his wife, owns a small estate in Bouzeron, a small municipality in the Côte Chalonnaise, just south of the Côte de Beaune. In Bouzeron, Aligoté is the specialty!

Bader – Mimeur is located at the bottom of the famous vineyards of Montrachet. Since the seventeenth century, the BADER-MIMEUR family has owned and managed vines in and around Chassagne-Montrachet for more than ten generations, especially in the Côte de BEAUNE.
The domain has been run by brother and sister since 2017; Sebastien Fossier and Nathalie Bernard. From the 17th century, the Bader-Nié family owned vineyards in Chassagne-Montrachet and its surroundings, while Charles Mimeur, winegrower from the Maranges region, became the owner of the Château de Chassagne-Montrachet in 1919.
Since 2017, Nathalie Bernard and her brother Sébastien Fossier have been in charge of Baeder-Mimeur on a daily basis. The Domain has a very impressive barrel cellar and is beautifully situated in the hills of Montrachet.
The Bader-Mimeur Burgundian family estate covers 8 hectares with about 60% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot noir coming from the appellations: Chassagne-Montrachet, Saint-Aubin 1er cru and Bourgogne. The Bader-Mimeur family owns and manages 98% of the Château de Chassagne-Montrachet vineyard. The red and white fine burgundy wines are produced using traditional methods: hand-picked grapes, aging in French oak barrels, natural fermentation and manual punch down of Pinot Noir.
