Marc Colin comes from a Burgundy wine family with a solid reputation. Together with his two sons, he manages a 20-hectare estate located in the village of Saint-Aubin in the Côte de Beaune. He owns exclusively top appellations: Montrachet, Bâtard-Montrachet, Premier Cru vineyards in Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet, Saint-Aubin, and Pernand-Vergelesses. This is quite exceptional. While this estate has traditionally been known for its quality, Colin nevertheless manages to continually improve it. Consequently, he receives increasingly glowing reviews in the international press. Colin's wines excel in purity and combine power with elegance. Perhaps a little shy in their youth, but with enormous aging potential.

Traditionally minded, he vinifies his wines with a remarkable intuition for nature. Although open to innovation, he adheres to a traditional style and strives for optimal freshness in his white wines, for example, while avoiding the wood-dominated type of Chardonnay. He is the most awarded winemaker from Gamay St-Aubin and owner of Restaurant Le Chassagne, which holds one Michelin star.

As is customary, the Saint-Aubin Cuvée Luce is a blend of three plots differing in age, exposure, and vine soil type, resulting in a complementary cuvée. Revealing aromas of crisp pear, white flowers, honeysuckle, and freshly baked bread; medium to full-bodied, ample and precise, with lively acidity and a chalky finish. The Saint-Aubin wines are highly recommended, and Colin is without any doubt the absolute king. This promising Marc Colin Saint-Aubin is a fine introduction to the Colin range.
