Description
The Brut Gold, the first cuvée from Armand de Brignac champagne, remains the most iconic cuvée in the range. A rich champagne, made according to classic champagne traditions. It is an assemblage of three vintages from some of the region's most vaunted terroirs. The result is an expressive cuvée full of lively and fresh fruit
and with a soft texture. Every step in the production process of a bottle of Armand de Brignac – from harvest, to pressing, remuage, disgorgement and labeling – is done by a team of just 18 people. Only the first part of the presse de cuvée is used, pure juice with the freshest flavors and the highest acidity. Then the father and son team create the perfect assemblage – a true tribute to the region's historical heritage, the art of blending.
The Champagne Armand de Brignac Brut Gold in the fantastic gold bottle has a beautiful very light white gold color in the glass with super refined bubbles. In the nose we smell aromas of peach, apricot and red berries followed by crystallized citrus fruit, orange blossom and brioche. In the mouth you experience cherries, tropical fruit and a hint of lemon, vanilla and honey. The soft, creamy mouthfeel has a hint of toast, coming from the unique dosage that has matured for a year in oak barrels. The composition of the Armand de Brignac is 40% pinot noir, 40% meunier, 20% chardonnay with a dosage of 9 gr/L (Brut) and a nice modest alcohol percentage of 12.5%.
The champagne is delicious to drink now, but can be aged for another 10 to 15 years. Ideal as an aperitif or in combination with grilled scallops, roasted quail and freshwater fish.
Armand de Brignac Gold Brut is highly rated by wine connoisseurs and the trade press, including 95/100 points by Decanter, 93/100 points by The Tasting Panel and “Extraordinarily Exceptional” by Christie's World Encyclopedia of Champagnes & Sparkling Wines. In 2010, Armand de Brignac's Brut Gold took first place in a blind test by FINE Champagne Magazine.

About Armand de Brignac
Armand de Brignac's cuvées are created by the Cattier family, now the 13th generation of champagne growers with father Jean-Jacques and his son Alexandre. The family has owned and cultivated vineyards since 1763. Drawing on more than 250 years of experience in the Champagne region, the Cattiers introduced Armand de Brignac's prestige champagnes with the aim of making the best quality champagne and breaking existing conventions. Armand de Brignan is 50% owned by LVMH (Luis Vutton Moet and Hennesy) and 50% is owned by rapper Jay Z, who has previously used champagne in his lyrics and video clips.
Every Armand de Brignac cuvée is a blend of three vintages, a signature of the brand. This approach results in a champagne with more layering and complexity, richness and aromatic nuances compared to a wine from a single vintage. The unique character of Armand de Brignac is further enhanced with the dosage, made from the best still wines from previous vintages that have matured for a year in French oak barrels. This gives Armand de Brignac champagnes a subtly toasted character.
The Maison's iconic bottles are provided with a unique metallic coating and individually finished by hand; polished, fitted with four French pewter labels and packaged in a protective velvet bottle bag or a luxurious wooden gift box.
