2025 Cantina Terlano Cuvée Terlaner

The Terlaner Cuvée from Cantina Terlano is a classic white wine from the Alto Adige region in Northern Italy. This cuvée combines three traditional grape varieties: 60% Pinot Bianco, 30% Chardonnay, and 10% Sauvignon Blanc.

There is manual harvesting and selection of the grapes, with gentle pressing of whole bunches. Slow fermentation at controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks followed by aging: 6 to 7 months aging on the fine lees, 80% in stainless steel tanks and 20% in large wooden barrels.

Color: Bright pale yellow with green nuances.
Nose: Aromas of green apple and white peach, with delicate nuances of lemon balm and mint.
Taste: Strong peach notes that give the wine a lively character. The versatile, well-structured taste is an interplay of freshness and minerality, with a lingering finish.

This wine pairs excellently with traditional regional dishes such as Terlano wine soup, raw white asparagus salad, pizza and pasta with tomato sauce, rosemary focaccia, or penne all'arrabbiata. It is also delicious with Parmesan cheese and fresh Pecorino, South Tyrolean dishes such as spekknödels or sausage with sauerkraut, and with turkey breast with root vegetables or a fine roast veal.

Founded in 1893, Cantina Terlano is situated between the two famous cities of Merano and Bolzano. Cantina Terlano is known as the smallest cooperative in Alto Adige, with one hundred members each owning an average of one hectare of vineyards. The strength of Cantina Terlano lies in the overview it maintains to carefully select yields. Terlano wines are known for their long aging potential. White wines aged 20 and 30 years are not uncommon.
