The estate is located in the charming winemaking town of Theiss, north of the Danube River, not far from the city of Krems. In 2007, Alois took over the estate from his parents Alois and Edeltraud. The vineyards have a southern exposure so that the grapes ripen for a long time due to the many hours of sunshine, the cold breeze from the Waldviertel provides a refreshing acid structure in the wines. Famous vineyard names are owned by the estate, such as Kremser Gebling, Kremser Sandgrube and Rosshimmel. Each with its unique characteristics such as soil and microclimate. Each vineyard receives its own treatment method and that is also the reason that the vineyards are vinified separately during vinification. Skin soaking is also used to give the wines more body and structure!

The Gruner Veltliner from Alois Zimmermann is a fresh wine with a seductive aroma of green apple, citrus supplemented with a mild spicy undertone. Fresh, juicy taste with an accent on fresh fruit, slightly spicy. Invigorating aftertaste. This white Gruner Veltiner is versatile as an aperitif and with grilled light fish dishes and various types of salads.
