Description
The vineyards for this Argentinian white wine are located at an altitude of 1250 meters in the Tupungato wine district. The Chardonnay grapes grow peacefully among the foothills of the Andes Mountains. At this altitude, the grapes receive ample warmth from the sun, but also a pleasant freshness that prevents them from ripening too quickly. Meltwater from the snow-capped peaks provides natural and clean irrigation for the vines. The Chardonnay grapes are harvested entirely by hand during the first week of March. This manual harvest ensures strict selection, ensuring only the finest fruit makes it into the wine. Before aging, this delicious Chardonnay is aged in French oak barrels for eight months. This aging process develops the full, beautifully creamy character.
The Terrazas de Los Andes Chardonnay is an oak-aged Chardonnay. In the glass, we immediately notice its beautiful straw-yellow color with a lovely golden sheen. The aroma reveals aromas of peach, pineapple, orange blossom, and a hint of vanilla. The mild, oily finish creates a pleasant and full-bodied experience. The rich flavor nuances of tropical fruit, dominated by peach and passion fruit, are pleasantly balanced by a light hint of citrus and vanilla.

TERRAZAS DE LOS ANDES CHARDONNAY MENDOZA RESERVA 2023
Score
93
A very fresh chardonnay with a sliced apple and apple tart character and just a touch of cream. It’s medium-bodied and nicely curated with a frame of softness. From Uco Valley. Drink now. Screw cap.

Terrazas de los Andes literally means 'terraces of the Andes'. Each grape variety is cultivated at its own perfect altitude in the best Argentine wine regions, Vistalba, Mendoza and Cafayate. Founded in 1959 by Moët & Chandon, Terrazas combines French knowledge with more than 50 years of expertise of the Argentine terroir for wines of optimal quality, consistency and character. Terrazas de los Andes itself is deeply rooted in its original environment, from the land on which the grapes grow to the local community we are a part of. Preserving the delicate ecological balance of nature and contributing to the well-being of the people is a key priority for the House. We are actively looking for alternative methods and techniques to conserve soil, biodiversity and natural resources. Water is scarce in the Mendoza region.
