Jase-Kellen is a modern Californian wine with a name that symbolizes strength and comfort. 'Jase' has its origins in Greek as 'healer' and in Hebrew as 'salvation'. 'Kellen' comes from Gaelic and means 'strong'. The wine is produced by Sonoma Bespoke from Napa, California and focuses on wines with a contemporary character, which at the same time offer structure, balance and fruit ripeness. California, and in particular the Lodi region where this wine comes from, offers excellent aging conditions for Chardonnay with its warm days and cool delta winds.

The vineyards of this Chardonnay are located in Lodi, California. The area benefits from a temperate warm climate with cooling influences from the Sacramento Delta. The Jase-Kellen Chardonnay 2023 is made from 100% Chardonnay grapes, harvested during the 2023 growing season. The wine underwent full malolactic fermentation, which contributes to a softer texture. Part of the wine was aged in oak, which integrated subtle notes of toasted wood and vanilla into the profile. The result is a Chardonnay with freshness and roundness in balance.

The colour of this wine is clear light gold. In the nose aromas of apricot, toasted oak and a hint of vanilla are recognisable. In the mouth the wine shows flavours of Honeycrisp apple and fresh Meyer lemon, supported by subtle wood spices. The attack is fresh and fruity, followed by a complex texture and an elegant, long-lasting finish. This makes the wine suitable both as an aperitif and with various dishes.
