2023 Il Conte Villa Prandone Conte Rosso

The Conte Rosso is made from 50% Sangiovese and 50% Montepulciano grapes and has an intense ruby red color with delicate aromas of cherries and flowers. It is a complex wine that is both robust and elegant due to the refreshing acidity. The success of the wines of Il Conte Villa Prandone comes from the passion for the vineyards and the land. The combination of a light breeze from the Adriatic Sea and that from the Sibillini Mountains creates a very healthy and balanced microclimate that guarantees an ideal ripening of the grapes. All the grapes are harvested by hand in small plots.

In the cellar too, the grapes are treated with care. They are pressed gently to ensure that the wine remains fresh and not too tannic. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks under controlled temperatures for 8-10 days. The wine is aged "sur lie" for 6 months, which contributes to its softness.

Il Conte Villa Prandone was born in the heart of the Piceno region, in the hills of the characteristic medieval village of Monteprandone. The winery was founded as a company in 1988, but the first vineyards were already cultivated in the 1960s. The vineyards were not yet owned at that time, it was only in 1988 that part of the vineyard was purchased and the company was founded. In the 1990s, investments were made in the own brand and the winery was renovated. New plots were also purchased and more and more vineyards were planted.
