Description
Domaine Henri Bourgeois is located in Chavignol, where the wine estate covered 2 hectares 60 years ago. The tenth generation of the family business now owns 65 hectares that supply grapes for half of the wines produced. The family also has a property in the Marlborough region of New Zealand and even bottles some of their spicy sancerres. The top wines of sancerre and pouilly-fumé mature in oak barrels.
The grapes come from the Loire Valley with its countless vineyards that have an ideal climate and substrate for making delicious Sauvignon blanc. Fragrant, pear and peach, green asparagus, juicy and open, fine fruit, good acidity, spicy, nice and dry. Light-footed, dry white wine. Delicious as an aperitif, nice with salad with goat cheese, light fish dishes or a piece of veal.
