Duhart-Milon is one of the most prestigious châteaux in the Pauillac appellation. In 1855, the château was included in the famous classification of Médoc wines. The château is now part of the Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) group. The history of Château Duhart Milon dates back to the early 18th century, when the owner of Château Lafite, Marquis Nicolas-Alexandre de Ségur, used Milon wines as his 'second wine'. Around 1840, the château, now called Duhart-Milon, already owned 40 hectares of vineyards of the highest quality. After a difficult period in the middle of the last century, Duhart-Milon became the property of the Rothschild family. A new period of great prosperity began.

Château Duhart Milon is located in the Pauillac appellation, on the west side of Château Lafite-Rothschild. The château currently has more than 70 hectares of vineyard. The soil is very typical of the region and contains a mixture of fine gravel, sand and lime. In combination with the mild climate, this is an ideal place for cabernet sauvignon, which is the most important grape here. The château also uses merlot and cabernet franc. The average age of the vines is over 30 years.

The name comes from an old mill on the plateau of "Carruades", the vineyard of Duhart Milon and Moulin de Duhart poles immersed in the terroir of "Carruades de Lafite". So you can see the price advantage here! Moulin de Duhart is vinified according to the traditional methods for the great Médoc wines, where the grapes are destemmed and crushed before fermentation in concrete and stainless steel vats. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of 30°C, followed by maceration of about ten days. After malolactic fermentation, the wines are transferred to two-year-old French oak barrels and aged for 12 months.

The nose, which is initially toasty, gradually opens up to red fruits, with hints of mint and violet. In the mouth the wine is soft and voluptuous, ending with a concentration without any roughness. The wood is well integrated, juicy and succulent. The aftertaste is harmonious and graceful, enhanced by roasted notes.
