Description
Aubert & Mathieu is the adventure of two friends who want to change the way wine is produced and consumed: a modern and committed vision. They make wines from the best terroirs of the Languedoc Roussillon! The wines are characterized by our style that fluctuates between freshness, the greed of the fruit and the respect for the typicality of the terroirs. High quality, cheerful and non-conformist. A committed vision for the planet is an important element of the vision. The world of tomorrow is being built today. This is put into action with a lot of attention to C02 neutral operations, preservation of local biodiversity, meaningful viticulture and ecologically designed packaging.
Off the slopes, there is the danger but also “the magic zone”! Aubert & Mathieu are also on thin ice when it comes to planting Pinot Noir this far south. However, exactly high enough on the foothills of the Pyrenees they grow their Pinot Noir. This gives him the freshness he needs. This terroir allows him to showcase all his wealth. In the nose we immediately smell fresh raspberries. From the first sip, this light wine opens generously to reveal the aromas of red berries and sour cherries. Delicious with chicken empanadas and other finger food, for example.
ABOUT THE LABELS
The labels translate prestige through the use of ancient engravings depicting the foothills of the Pyrenees. These are old engravings that have been colored. They are also resolutely modern by deriving from portraits of young Californian aristocrats from the nineteenth century, a real nod to the New On the Chardonnay we discover the portrait of a mountain woman, with soft features that refer to the creamy side of the Chardonnay. The mountains are those of the Pyrenees and are reminiscent of the AOP Limoux of our Chardonnay, known for its beautiful crémants. The Pinot is represented by a man with his head in the clouds. This wine is a call to the imagination and to daydreaming. In IGP Pays d'Oc, this Pinot Noir offers delicate and fresh aromas. This undeniable freshness is due to the altitude vineyards selected for this wine.
