2022 Yalumba the Y Series Chardonnay

The Y-Series are a range of wines created to reflect the personal and colorful 150-year history of the Hill Smith family of Yalumba. This family is the oldest wine-owning family in Australia. The Y series is a collection of iconic classics from well-known grape varieties. Each wine is authentically made with fruit from South Australia's most renowned wine regions. When picking Chardonnay grapes, we look at the flavor spectrum they provide, from vibrant citrus aromas such as lemons and limes to peach and tropical fruit. In this way, the winery ensures that the wine is balanced in terms of taste and natural acidity when the different grapes are mixed.

The YalumbaY Series Chardonnay is a full, fruity white wine with a yellowish color. The wine is fresh and juicy with a nice minerality and a pleasant, light oiliness. Aromas of grapefruit and pineapple on the nose. Good balance and a pleasant aftertaste. Delicious with stewed fish, white meat, poultry and salads or with fried haloumi with lime and parsley.
