The Tatort Rosenberg Grauer Burgunder (aka Pinot Gris) by Lorenz & Söhne from the Nahe, shows a brilliant, copper-gold color in the glass. This varietal German wine jumps out of the glass with wonderfully expressive notes of jasmine, cherry blossom, acacia and linden. There are also hints of lava, garrigue spice and forest soil. On the palate, the Tatort Kreuznacher Rosenberg Pinot Gris from Lorenz & Sons is pleasantly dry and aromatic. Thanks to the balanced fruit acidity, the wine has a pleasant palate with a juicy liveliness

The basis for this elegant Tatort Rosenberg Pinot Gris/Grauer Burgunder from the Nahe are grapes from the Pinot Gris variety. At the point of optimal ripeness, the grapes are harvested exclusively by hand. After the harvest, the grapes quickly reach the winery. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After the end of fermentation, the Tatort Rosenberg Pinot Gris can remain on its dregs (sur lie) for a few months to further harmonize. This wine is perfect as an accompaniment to spaghetti with caper tomato sauce, chickpea curry or pumpkin casserole.

The family estate has been established since 1950 in the wine-growing region of Nahe on the city limits of Bad Kreuznach. The modern wine cellars are equipped for the production of fresh wines, where experience and skill are an absolute requirement to produce this type of characterful wines. The area on the Nahe and its tributaries Glan and Alsenz boasts a 2,000-year wine-growing tradition. Thanks to the shelter from cold winds of the high Hunsrück, mild temperatures and plenty of sunshine provide an excellent climate for viticulture. An eventful geological history has given the Nahe area great soil variation. Grapes grow on slate, volcanic porphyry soils, loess or loam. This offers opportunities for a multitude of grape varieties and wine styles.
