2021 Raen Royal St Robert Cuvee Pinot Noir

With this Royal St. Robert Cuvee, brothers Carlo and Dante Mondavi honor their grandfather Robert Mondavi, who taught them to always strive for perfection. Carlo and Dante founded Raen Winery in 2013 with the goal of producing world-class Pinot Noir on the western hills of the Sonoma Coast. And believe us, this wine certainly succeeded.

The wine is made from a selection of the very best barrels, which provide a view of the cool and rugged western hills of California's Sonoma Coast. The wine has beautiful aromas of freshly cut wild strawberries, rose petals and hibiscus flowers on the nose. The intense flavors of dark cherry, strawberry, white tea, thyme, sweet resin and forest floor give this wine a full, spicy taste. Furthermore, it has a mineral tone (pulverized stone). A medium body wine with a long, full aftertaste. 100% Pinot Noir, bottled unfiltered. The wine is aged for 10 months in 60-liter French oak barrels (10% new, 4-year air-dried French oak and 90% neutral French oak barrels). Bottled without filtration. 97/100 Suckling
