Description
The Rose Rebel is 100% Pinotage, made with only free-flowing juice extracted from the press via gravity to minimize color and phenolic extraction from the skins, while retaining natural acidity.
The wine has a pale gold/pink color with aromas of watermelon, raspberry and blood orange. The taste is fresh and bursting with summer fruit flavors, ending with a distinctive, savory minerality.

Franschhoek is a broad vineyard-lined valley in the Western Cape, shielded from oceanic influences by the southern mountain range. These mountains also trap cooling southerly winds, extending the growing season. Grapes have been planted here since the late 1600s, when exiled the French Huguenots brought their viticulture to South Africa and settled in this area. Franschhoek, meaning "French corner" in Dutch, retains a strong French influence today, evident in its architecture and vineyard names. The hot climate in Franschhoek produces full-bodied, complex reds and rich, fruit-driven whites, and the region is also famous for its elite Cap Classique production. Culturally, Franschhoek is renowned for its hospitality, music, and variety of festivals.
