Description
The Tuscan winery founded in 2000 by the charismatic Bibi Graetz has achieved cult status over the past twenty years. The winery has many enthusiasts with its idiosyncratic wines and artistic labels. This also includes the international wine press, which now annually awards the top wines Colore and Testamatta very high marks.
The Bibi Graetz Toscana Casamatta Bianco comes from old vineyards in the Tuscan Maremma. The vineyards are located between Capalbio and Argentario, on the southern coastal region of Tuscany. The wine is a blend of Ansonica, Trebbiano, Vermentino. The grapes are destemmed and then gently pressed (with dry ice). The juice is fermented in stainless steel tanks at a very low temperature to preserve freshness. This process takes two weeks. After blending, the wine matures for another 3 months in stainless steel tanks. In the glass, the Casammatta is pale yellow with pear, lemon zest, orange and peach, blossom and a hint of mint in the nose. In the mouth the wine is fruity and refreshing. Light filming. Layered wine. Delicious to enjoy as is and of course with a pasta with seafood.

More information about Bibi Greatz
Bibi comes from a family of artists, until he himself decided to take a different path and left the winemaker profession behind. He bought an 8 hectare vineyard with 60 year old vines. Today Graetz is one of the biggest names in Tuscany. The labels on the bottles show that Bibi Graetz comes from an artistic family, as he painted the images on the labels himself. The wines are rare and limited. Testamatta production from just 10,000 bottles per year.
