The vineyards of Cedar Rock are located in the North Coast area, which, as the name suggests, is a lot further north than the more famous wine regions. Here it can often be a little cooler on the vineyards thanks to the breeze from the ocean. This has a positive effect on the Chardonnay grapes, which get an ideal growth process thanks to the difference between heat and cold. This gives the grapes an ideal balance between fullness, juiciness and freshness. The Cedar Rock is a 100% Californian Cabernet Sauvignon that has been aged in oak. The cooler vineyards compared to most Californian wineries ensures that this is not a heavy-bombastic cabernet, but one with finesse and fruit.
