The Baglio del Cristo di Campobello C'D'C' comes from Sicily, Italy. Baglio del Cristo is now regarded as one of the best wineries in Sicily, which is currently seen as a rapidly emerging Italian wine region. In 2000, the Bonetta brothers began planting the first vines in Agrigento. The family wanted to realize their dream of producing wines of the highest quality. They have succeeded admirably; the wines were released in 2009 and immediately won awards.

The Sicilia Syrah Lusirà represents an impressive effort by Baglio del Cristo di Campobello. The Lusira features a very happy marriage between the Syrah grape and the Sicilian terroir. Unlike the Nero d'Avola, the wine has more aromas of dark fruit, cured meat, and black pepper that are very specific to this grape. The beauty of this Lusira is that these wonderful flavors are not masked by excessive oak. The texture of the wine is soft and round, with beautiful notes and flavors of leather and tobacco in the finish. In Campobello di Licata, everyone knows the large modern white wine cellar that is built on a hill with calcareous soil that reflects the light of the sun. On this hill - three hundred meters above sea level and 5km far from the Gulf of Licata - is a large wooden Christ, placed two hundred years ago by a farmer. It has since become a place of pilgrimage for winegrowers who come to pray for the quality of their wine once it is vinified.

From the beginning - says Carmelo Bonetta - we have tried to make wines with a strong expression and personality. We try to use the maximum potential of our terroir because a lot of the attention of our work goes initially to the vineyard and then to the work in the cellar, we respect what the earth gives us through limited productions and small yields.

For many years, the Bonetta family sold their grapes to other wine companies at a low price.
