Description
In the heart of Albariño cultivation, Cambados, Xurxo Alba produces its Albamar wines in a traditional way, where, above all, he uses the power of nature. Rich, juicy, and an example of pure craftsmanship. The albarinos are very famous, especially as the vineyards are close to the sea on a plateau of lime, clay and slate. This gives all wines an unprecedented complexity. In addition to the white albarinos, a beautiful red wine has also been made from native grapes (espaldeiro, Mencia and Caino red).
The spicy and peppery O Esteiro Caíño needs time to show its character. This is the variety that is easier to recognize - dried roses, crushed peppercorns and ash/pumice stone. On the palate the wine is medium-bodied, with lively acidity with balsamic aromas. This is Atlantic, maritime red and only around 1,300 bottles were filled, so it is also very exclusive.
