Founded by Luc and Jodie Morlet, this family-owned winery is dedicated to making exceptional wines that showcase the unique terroir of the Napa Valley and the Sonoma Coast.
The Morlets combine old world principles with the terroir of California. The winery focuses on small yields and meticulous vineyard management, ensuring that each grape is carefully hand-picked. Using low-intervention winemaking techniques, Luc and Jodie create powerful yet refined wines that showcase the personality and complexity of their fruit.
This wine captures the powerful, rich and dense character of the Cabernet Franc grapes from the world famous Oakville appellation. Only bottled in excellent vintages, this wine honors Luc's great-grandfather, Gaston Morlet, who was known as a force of nature in his native village of Avenay-Val-d'Or. His pioneering spirit is still one of the driving forces behind the family's passion to make the best wines. Made from 100% Cabernet Franc grapes, this wine is truly a 'Force of Nature' or 'Force de la Nature.'
Winemaker notes: Dark red with a hue of purple. Intense and complex bouquet of mocha, toasted coffee bean and freshly cracked black pepper. The palate is reminiscent of the nose, intermixed with notes of black raspberries, scorched earth and forest floor. Full-bodied with a massive tannic structure, this one-of-a-kind stunner is meant to be cellared and will age gracefully for many decades.

Located in the heart of the region, Oakville represents some of Napa Valley's greatest, most powerful wines. It is this part of Napa Valley that has established itself as a leading producer of cabernet sauvignon, resulting in internationally recognized, award-winning wines. Now sourced entirely from Block B on the family's Oakville estate, the 100% varietal 2019 Cabernet Franc Force de la Nature seamlessly marries a fine dusting of dried herbs (sage, bay leaves, mint) with dark berry fruit (cassis, blackberries, black cherries). It's full-bodied and rich, already fully open for business and approachable yet concentrated and velvety, with a long, elegant finish.

Crushed raspberry, mint, spicecake, dried flowers and mocha are all laced together in the captivating bouquet. Beams of tannin add to a feeling of drive as this resonant, textured Franc continues to open in the glass. This is a stunning wine by any measure. But considering the vines were planted only in 2015, even more so!
